Frequently Asked Questions
What method do you use to customize book edges?
We provide a hand-crafted sprayed edge service using a combination of airbrushing and hand-drawing techniques. This method allows us to achieve richer colors and brighter pigments, giving your books a vibrant and customized finish.
What is edge spraying?
Edge spraying is the process of applying paint or designs to the outer edges of a book's pages. This customization technique enhances the aesthetic appeal of books, turning them into personalized works of art. The sprayed edges can feature solid colors, gradients, metallic finishes, or stenciled patterns, making each book unique and visually striking. It’s a popular choice for book lovers looking to express their personality or match their books to a specific theme or collection
What materials or paint do you use? Are they safe for the book?
We use acrylic paint for our edge spraying, and yes, it is completely safe for books! Think of it like painting a picture on paper—the canvas is just much smaller and happens to be the edges of your book’s pages:)
Can you customize ANY book?
We spray both hardback and paperback books! However, we do not spray books with deckled edges, as their uneven texture makes it difficult to achieve a consistent and polished finish. Additionally, we avoid spraying antique or collectible books. While we strive for perfection in every project, we’re only human, and mistakes, though rare, can happen. We’d hate for such an error to occur on a valuable antique or collectible book. For all other books, we’re excited to create a stunning, customized design for you!
Do you offer sprayed services for book sets or series?
Yes, we do! We can customize your book set or series in two ways:Cohesive Look: Each book can have its own unique design while maintaining a harmonious style across the entire set.Landscape Design: We can create a stunning image that spans across the edges of the entire set, forming a continuous artwork that can be seen when the books are stacked together.
